I just wanted to give credit where it's due. I just found out that Dhani Jones is retiring, and wanted to give him a shout out. Playing college football in the state of Michigan around the same time he did, I heard nothing but good things about Mr. Jones, even back then.
I also appreciate his ability to carve out a niche for himself, despite not being an NFL superstar (or a quarterback, running back, or a wide receiver), which is tougher to do than most people not personally involved with the sport understand.
I did a post back in the day (ok, so what it was only a few months ago) on 9 Tips to Using An Athletes Twitter to Improve Their Marketability, and I spoke on how this guy's done a magnificent job of matching his social media content to his brand and image. He's definitely amongst the best in using social media to progress his brand. The guy's a class act, and the least I could do is shout him out on a post.
The future is bright for this guy. If you ever read this, Dhani (which I doubt), thanks for being a positive role model, and for giving future NFL player's a blueprint to success… On AND off the field.
